Our History
For more than 35 years, the Association for Children’s Mental Health (ACMH) has served as a statewide, family-driven organization dedicated to supporting families of children and youth with serious emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
Founded on the belief that families are essential partners in care, ACMH has grown to provide support, education, and advocacy opportunities that empower families and elevate their voices across systems.
Over the years, ACMH has remained committed to strengthening family-to-family connections, expanding access to resources, and creating leadership opportunities that help shape more responsive and supportive services for children, youth, and families across Michigan.
