No team here it’s me, Kitty, owner and Animal Care Practitioner of Kitty’s Professional Pet sitting.
I have been a little different in that my best friends growing up were two german shepherds and a cat. I’ve always had the ability to form unique relationships with animals, and not just cats and dogs!  It took me a long time to realize I didn’t need to stay in the work force that was dragging me down.  I could turn my love and connection with animals into a job I love doing everyday. I literally have never had a time in my life that I didn’t have animal family members. Taking care of animals has been something I have been doing since I was a kid, not just our family’s animals, but volunteering at our local veterinary clinic. Over the last 20 years I have been involved in animal rights and welfare, including TNR, and Organizer and Investigator to two non profit animal rights and rescue groups. Doing that work gave me lots of experience caring for lots of animals including chickens, bunnies, goats and a couple baby cows, most of whom were traumatized. I have experience with special needs animals and can administer IV fluids, oral and injectable medications, general first aide, and handling traumatized (fearful/aggressive) animals. I am a member of the International Association of animal Behavior Consultants, and recently certified as an Animal Reiki Practitioner.
In my opinion having an experienced, compassionate,responsible sitter in your home is the best option for companion animals. No worries about them being traumatized in a strange place, being in a cage, where multiple employees are tending to them. Pretty scary stuff! I will keep their routine,update you with videos and text messages just enough to ease your mind. Visits prior to staying at your home can be arranged so that I won’t be a stranger. Every individual has different personalities and some take a little longer to adjust. I will give them the love, care, cuddles and attention they wouldn’t get at a boarding facility, or in someone’s home wondering if you are ever coming back. With them in their own environment, I will follow your instructions and your schedule/routine, so there are as little changes as possible. While staying in your home I will make sure everything is safe, secure and tidy.  I can water plants, bring in mail, take garbage  cans in and out and any other tasks you might need so that you will be stress free while you are away. Drop in visits Drop in visits are available. Some folks prefer one or more drop in visits to overnight. That includes all the important stuff,  feeding, water, litterbox. Poop pick up, walks, play time or any other requests. Midday visits are very beneficial to working parents. Do you worry while you are at work, about them being lonely, being in a crate too long, being able to get outside to relieve themselves? Midday visits are the answer! Going for a walk, or playing outside, going potty, water/food check gives them a fun break in their day and gives you peace of mind.
