Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown Water Park

I-45 and I-99

21300 I-45 North, Spring, TX  77373

Houston’s largest waterpark with 41 rides, slides and attractions, Splashtown covers 40 acres and uses more than 2 million gallons of water for summer fun.

Formerly named Splashtown, this water park has many fun attractions for all ages.  Prepare for a 30-foot drop down a nearly vertical slide, or ride Wahoo Wave!, or the Stingray Racer, which is the longest, largest and only 6-lane Octopus Racer in Texas.

There are many attractions for younger visitors, including Coconut Bay, the new interactive children’s area.  Don’t miss the Tree House with shallow waters for the little ones.  A huge bucket is perched on top of the Tree House, and it tips over when full, drenching everyone within reach.  Spray water fountains keep everyone cool, even on the hottest days.  Go to https://www.sixflags.com/splashtown has information.

Bernhardt Winery

A very favorite spot for entertainment is west of Conroe at Bernhardt Winery.  Not only is the wine superlative (sold by the bottle), but the entertainment in their outdoor venue is just absolutely fabulous.  The owners bring in tribute bands:  A Salute to the Rolling Stones, The FAB 5, Fleetwood Mac & Stevie Nicks Tribute, Motown Tribute, and many more.

Bring your own chairs to sit on the sloping lawn, order food from the food trucks or bring your own food – Bernhardt is there for fun and dancing.

Texas Renaissance Festival

This is an experience you can’t miss.  There is too much to even discuss here – nothing we can say will do it justice.  The Festival in from mid-October through mid-November each year.  Book a spot now because this is popular throughout the whole USA.

This 51-year-old Renaissance Fair is simply amazing.  The locals wear themed costumes, performers are abundant in the crowds, the food is amazing, and the proffered artisan crafts and goods are unique.

Market Street, The Woodlands

This hub of retail shops and restaurants is popular with tourists and locals alike.  From new restaurants to old-time favorites, you will enjoy a choice of excellent food and drink.  On weekends there are bands that play outdoors by the water — bring your own chair or sit on a patio.
